1 DAY TRAINING:

CSi ETABS Basic Training

The CSi ETABS Basic Training course covers everything you need to get started with ETABS with confidence!

CSi ETABS allows for reducing the assumptions when modeling, leading to minimization of the gap between analysis and reality.

In this course the user will receive extensive practical experience in result management and post-processing of results from FEM-analysis.

The course includes assessments and extraction of global floor forces from earthquake analysis and integrated wall forces, as well as modeling techniques and methods for analysis and design of steel and concrete structures according to current European design codes!

  • This training covers Object Based modeling using templates, report creation, as well as modeling techniques for a vast selection of construction elements, like:

    • Frame elements

    • Walls

    • Slabs

    • Elevator cores and openings in shell elements

    • Curved wall and beam elements

    Also learn about:

    • Extrusion options

    • Grid and story definition

    • Snap functionality

    • Diaphragm definition

    • Material definition

    • Section designer

    • Mesh options

    • Edge Constraints

    • Apply loads and boundary conditions

    • Story response

    • Shear wall response

    • Section cuts

    • Steel frame design

    • Optimization steel design

    • Concrete frame design

    • Shear wall design

Discusssion and Q&A along the way!

  • The primary target group for this course is new users. We assume that users have good knowledge about structural engineering.

  • This course is offered as live online training via Microsoft Teams.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage with the instructor, ask questions, and receive personalized feedback, ensuring an interactive and comprehensive learning experience!

Language: The course will be conducted in Norwegian, Danish, or English, depending on the participants' nationality, allowing for real-time interaction and tailored instruction that ensures a thorough and practical understanding of the material.
